Growgroups at First Methodist church are what we call all of our “small group” ministries. Our goal is to have everyone involved in some type of group. We don’t expect you to be in more than one group a week, but we do expect you to be in a group. For more information contact Charlie Keys -

We offer the following types of growgroups.

Sermon-based groups

Groups of 10-12 disciples that covenant to go deep together through study, prayer, accountability and mission. Sermon-based groups discuss the sermon from the previous Sunday as well as alternating in other curriculum for the overall spiritual development of the participants.

Topical groups

Groups that meet at various times throughout the week. These groups cover a specific topic or curriculum. Examples of a topical growgroup would be Priscilla Shirer, Adam Hamilton or other approved material.

Sunday morning groups

Groups that meet Sunday mornings at our church at 9:40 a.m. (also known as Sunday school.)
