Rev. Rick Enns Appointed as President Pro Tempore of West Plains Conference

On Monday, July 15, it was announced that our lead pastor, Rev. Rick Enns, has been appointed as President Pro Tempore of the West Plains Conference. Pastor Rick and his wife, Cat, will be relocating to Lubbock, and Pastor Rick will begin his new role on August 15. Their last Sunday with us will be August 4. While we are sad to see Rick and Cat go after 13 years of ministry at our church and in the Canyon community, we know that God has great things in store for Rick, Cat, the West Plains Conference, and First Methodist Church.

As we move forward, please join us in prayer for Rick and Cat as they transition to a new home, a new city, and new roles; for our Leadership Board and conference staff as they begin the search for our next lead pastor; for our new lead pastor; and for our church as a whole.

A come-and-go reception will be held for Pastor Rick and his wife, Cat, on Sunday, August 11, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of our Canyon campus.
