Welcome to First Methodist Church! We are so glad you are here. Whatever your week has been like, whatever your life has been like, whatever you look like, and whether you believe what we believe or disagree with us, you are welcome in this place in the name of Jesus Christ.
Prayer requests can be texted to us at (806) 304-6649, or emailed to prayer@firstmethodist.church.
If this is your first time here, we have a gift for you! Visit the welcome table by the entrance, and a member of our Guest Connections Team will happily assist you.
Our nursery is available for infants to pre-k students. We believe in family worship, so your kids are welcome to stay in the worship service with you. We have a time for children during worship where kids are invited to come forward to hear from our children’s ministry team. If your children are joining you in worship, we offer “wiggle bags” filled with activities for your children to do during worship. Wiggle bags may be found at the back of the worship space by the entrance.
The Methodist Women in Service are selling roses through Friday, May 1. The roses are $5 apiece and may be purchased in honor or memory of a loved one. To place an order, please locate an ordering envelope in one of the pew-back pockets. Mother's Day is coming up on Sunday, May 10.
In partnership with High Plains Food Bank, our church will be providing lunches to children on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:45 to 12:30 from June 2 through July 30. The food bank will deliver pre-packaged meals to Reeves-Hinger and Lakeview Elementary Schools; volunteers will simply greet families with a smile and hand out food containers. This summer, kids will be able to take part in some frosty activities and games, enjoy snowy snacks and stories, and learn what Scripture says about faith and resilience. Registration will open in May. Please keep an eye on our social media channels for more information. Vacation Bible Camp will be June 1 through 4 from 6:00 to 8:00 each evening.
