Welcome to First Methodist Church! We are so glad you are here. Whatever your week has been like, whatever your life has been like, whatever you look like, and whether you believe what we believe or disagree with us, you are welcome in this place in the name of Jesus Christ.
Prayer requests can be texted to us at (806) 304-6649, or emailed to prayer@firstmethodist.church.
If this is your first time here, we have a gift for you! Visit the welcome table by the entrance, and a member of our Guest Connections Team will happily assist you.
Our nursery is available for infants to pre-k students. We believe in family worship, so your kids are welcome to stay in the worship service with you. We have a time for children during worship where kids are invited to come forward to hear from our children’s ministry team. If your children are joining you in worship, we offer “wiggle bags” filled with activities for your children to do during worship. Wiggle bags may be found at the back of the worship space by the entrance.
The Global Methodist Church's General Conference begins today in Johannesburg, South Africa, and will end September 5. This week, we invite you to be in prayer for the North District prayer warriors: Matt Brown, Katherine Stowell, Jane King, Kathy Rogers, and Darla Nickell.
The Leadership Board is a nine-person team whose purpose is to govern the business of the church. If you feel led to serve on this team, applications will be available at the welcome areas beginning next Sunday. Applications will close Sunday, October 4.
As a family of faith, we have a heart for welcoming those who have become disconnected from First Methodist Church. On September 13, we are going to have a family reunion — a joyful and welcoming Sunday where people can reconnect with friends, rediscover the life of our church, and most importantly, experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that people will not only find their way back to church, but find their way home to the Lord — and leave saying, “I’m so glad the Lord led me to FMC!”
This semester, we have multiple opportunities for the whole family to deepen their faith and connect with God and other people! Each Wednesday night, we offer a meal in Fellowship Hall from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. (donations accepted and appreciated). Following that, we have ministries for children, youth, and adults from 6:15 to 7:30. If you haven't found an adult GrowGroup to be a part of, please grab a GrowGroup brochure from a welcome area — it's not too late to join in on a class or study!
