Welcome to First Methodist Church! We are so glad you are here. Whatever your week has been like, whatever your life has been like, whatever you look like, and whether you believe what we believe or disagree with us, you are welcome in this place in the name of Jesus Christ.
Prayer requests can be texted to us at (806) 304-6649, or emailed to prayer@firstmethodist.church.
If this is your first time here, we have a gift for you! Visit the welcome table by the entrance, and a member of our Guest Connections Team will happily assist you.
Our nursery is available for infants to pre-k students. We believe in family worship, so your kids are welcome to stay in the worship service with you. We have a time for children during worship where kids are invited to come forward to hear from our children’s ministry team. If your children are joining you in worship, we offer “wiggle bags” filled with activities for your children to do during worship. Wiggle bags may be found at the back of the worship space by the entrance.
This afternoon, drop by the Amarillo campus for lunch and to bid farewell to Charlie, Kristine, Chanan, and Kara Keys as they prepare for their next adventure in Lamesa.
In partnership with High Plains Food Bank, our church will be providing lunches to children on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:45 to 12:30 from June 2 through July 30. The food bank will deliver pre-packaged meals to Reeves-Hinger and Lakeview Elementary Schools; volunteers will simply greet families with a smile and hand out food containers. We invite you to take part in our new Missions Survey, which will help us expand what our church offers to our community and beyond. From experience in construction work to being able to cook up a good meal, we're looking for people who want to serve God by serving others using their gifts, resources, and skills. To participate in this survey, please click here.
June 1-4 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., kids will be able to take part in some frosty activities and games, enjoy snowy snacks and stories, and learn what Scripture says about faith and resilience. Registration for campers, volunteers, and our free Refresh Roadmap course for parents is open now at www.myvbs.org/FMCCanyon. Refresh Roadmap is a video-based course designed to help families navigate technology and its impact on the wellbeing of their children.
