Welcome to First Methodist Church! We are so glad you are here. Whatever your week has been like, whatever your life has been like, whatever you look like, and whether you believe what we believe or disagree with us, you are welcome in this place in the name of Jesus Christ.
Prayer requests can be texted to us at (806) 304-6649, or emailed to prayer@firstmethodist.church.
If this is your first time here, we have a gift for you! Visit the welcome table by the entrance, and a member of our Guest Connections Team will happily assist you.
Our nursery is available for infants to pre-k students. We believe in family worship, so your kids are welcome to stay in the worship service with you. We have a time for children during worship where kids are invited to come forward to hear from our children’s ministry team. If your children are joining you in worship, we offer “wiggle bags” filled with activities for your children to do during worship. Wiggle bags may be found at the back of the worship space by the entrance.
Join us in worship next Sunday, November 16, as our children perform songs they’ve spent this semester learning!
Later this month, our Sunday school classes will be coming together to decorate the church for the Advent season. A light dinner will be served in Fellowship Hall. Classes will be given their assignments soon. We appreciate your help as we approach Christmas and prepare our hearts for Christ’s birth.
The Wesley is providing a way for college students to receive necessary supplies at the start of the spring semester. If you feel led to provide anything from school supplies to laundry detergent to nonperishable snacks, donations may be left in front of the church office between now and December 7. For a complete supply list, please see the flyer in your Sunday school class bag or email Matt Reecer, Communications and Media Specialist.
Written by church member David Moore, Wait, What? is a comedic musical featuring traditional Christmas songs, a journey through Israel’s history of rulers, and the Magi who visit the toddler Jesus. Wait, What? will be presented in Fellowship Hall on Sunday, December 14, at 8:30 and 10:50 in place of our regular worship services. Can’t make it in the morning? There will also be a showing at 5:30 that evening.
